Nazem Helbawi
I am principal bridges consultant engineer with experience that lasts over forty years. I got my doctorate d'Etat in 1980 in Civil Engineering (Prestressed Concrete) with high honor degree from Pierre Marie Curie University in Paris, France. During my life career, I have worked in both Engineering work (private and general) as bridges construction consultant (Design, Supervision on execution).

● Supervised the execution of sixty-five various bridges in Lattakia-Ariha highway, Syria.

● Supervising projects in designing and execution of different structures (Various bridges, Great halls).
● Projects (1983 - 1990):
- 1990: Supervised the design and method execution of two vast floors (Length: 23 meters) that are comprised of prestressed concrete inside a vast and high ecumenical complex in Lattakia, Syria.
- 1989: Supervised the design and method execution of six bridges in a highway around Aleppo city in Syria. Every bridge spans 24 meters from precast prestressed girders.
- 1989: Supervised a maintenance study of a prestressed concrete bridge on Damascus-Aleppo highway.
- 1988: Supervised the design and method execution of the main building roof for Al-Fijeh water spring ( main water supply of Damascus). The roof is 30 X 54 meters and is constructed from big precast elements such as slab and prestressed girders with no indoor columns.
- 1988: Supervised the design and method execution of a viaduct curved bridge from six spans (Total Length: 210 meter) by precast prestressed girders in Damascus.
- 1987: Supervised the design of two bridges everyone two spans (20, 25 meters) by precast prestressed girders on the highway between Homs and Tartous cities.
- 1985-1986: Supervised at a prefabrication factory specializing in bridges and buildings production. Prestressed five girders per day each of a length of 25 meters.
- 1983-1985:
▪ Supervised the execution of nine bridges in the South Bypass that extends around Damascus city. One of the bridges is viaduct of 1.5 kilometers length.
▪ Prepared the technical specification for international tenders negotiations with international companies.
▪ Evaluated bridges studies submissions.
▪ Designed end blocks for these bridges.
