Description
This course builds upon the principles of software engineering with a focus on object-oriented software development. Topics include software system design principles and methodologies, object-oriented software engineering, the fundamental concepts and evolution of object-oriented programming, object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD), Unified Modeling Language (UML), software architecture and design modeling, testing and maintenance of object-oriented software systems, project management for object-oriented software development, and the use of Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools. Emphasis is placed on applying modern software engineering practices to the analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of high-quality software systems.
