This course introduces the fundamental concepts and theories of aesthetics and examines the significance of aesthetic thought in art and design. It explores the concept of beauty in Arab and Islamic philosophy, as well as the major philosophical approaches to aesthetics, including the subjective and objective theories of beauty. The course examines the relationship between aesthetics and aesthetic perception, as well as its connections with truth, goodness, utility, religion, life, values, ethics, and the arts. It also investigates the factors influencing aesthetic judgment, the principles of industrial aesthetics, and the development of aesthetic theory during the twentieth century, highlighting its role in shaping artistic visions that reflect the spirit and contemporary concepts of the modern age.
