Dr. Ammar Mohammad Al‑Nahar is a Professor of Arab‑Islamic History at Damascus University, specializing in Mamluk studies, Islamic civilization, and manuscript editing. He earned his PhD in Arab‑Islamic History from Damascus University in 2005 and has served as a faculty member in both the Departments of History and Archaeology. Since 2017, he has held the rank of Full Professor. Dr. Al‑Nahar has produced more than fifty scholarly works, including critical editions of major classical manuscripts and studies on Islamic cultural and scientific heritage. He has supervised numerous MA and PhD theses and participated in academic conferences across the region. He also serves on editorial boards of several peer‑reviewed journals and is recognized as a leading expert in manuscript studies and Arab‑Islamic historiography.
