Description


 This theoretical course provides a comprehensive survey of the history of art, encompassing the visual arts, applied arts, and architecture from prehistoric times through the ancient civilizations of China, India, Mesopotamia, the Syrian Coast, and Ancient Egypt, followed by the artistic achievements of the Greek and Roman civilizations, culminating in the emergence of Early Christian art. The course examines the distinctive artistic characteristics, aesthetic principles, cultural contexts, and historical developments of each civilization, enabling students to understand the evolution of artistic expression and its influence on the development of world art and architecture.
