Description

This theoretical and practical studio course focuses on the principles and practice of residential interior design. Students develop interior design proposals for a range of residential projects, including compact apartments, economical housing units, multi-storey residences, and small villas. The course emphasizes space planning, circulation, furniture layout, architectural elements, lighting, color, materials, and decorative accessories, while examining their relationships to one another, the building envelope, and the overall design concept. Students are required to produce comprehensive design documentation, including floor plans, sections, elevations, working drawings, perspective renderings, physical scale models, and a concise design report that explains the project's concept and design rationale.
