Interior Design 3

ID2201

Description

This theoretical and practical studio course focuses on the design of commercial and industrial interior environments, including shopping centers, retail stores, office spaces, and industrial facilities. Students examine the functional, aesthetic, and technical requirements of these interior environments while developing design concepts that respond to user needs and operational requirements. The course emphasizes the application of interior design principles to commercial and industrial spaces, integrating spatial planning, circulation, materials, lighting, furnishings, and architectural elements into cohesive design solutions. As part of the studio requirements, students prepare comprehensive project documentation, including floor plans, sections, elevations, working drawings, perspective renderings, physical scale models, analytical studies, and a concise design report that presents the project's concept and design rationale.
