Description
This theoretical and practical course introduces the fundamental principles of perspective drawing and visual representation. Students learn the concepts of perspective through the study of basic geometric forms, particularly the cube, and explore the effects of the observer’s viewpoint on spatial perception. The course provides practical training in the use of traditional drafting instruments, including rulers, set squares, and other drawing tools, to construct one-point and two-point perspective drawings. Students also learn to generate perspective views from orthographic projections and develop freehand perspective drawing skills through a series of practical studio exercises. The course aims to strengthen students’ spatial visualization, technical accuracy, and visual communication skills in artistic and architectural representation.
